Slow Burn vs Heavy Lift

Slow burn is a project that needs to simmer on the burner for a while. For example if it is an idea for a YouTube video, have the idea on the project list, and as a page in Notion to add to and edit ideas over time. Heavy lift is getting the task done with brute force.

Task vs Project

When in pilot mode planning the day think in terms of task not project. A project is study for Chemistry Exam. A task is create ANKI flashcards for week 5 lecture notes.

Templetize Workflow

A method to make the creative process easier is to templetize workflow. An example of how to do this is to create a YouTube script as a “Hero’s Journey” STORY STRUCTURE by first thinking of a title before content, then asking questions followed by bulleted answers: 1. Who is the main character? 2.. What do they want? 3. Why can’t they get what they want? 4. What are the stakes?

Parallel Processing

The concept of having multiple POST and/or VIDEO ideas “brewing” as separate entries in Notion database at the same time.

Vision

This blog project is intended as a foundation for my sons build upon. In a similar way, building character in my sons is best accomplished by cultivating my own character. Blogging and character building both are intended as the beginning of a journey that I will never finish, that my sons will continue after I am gone.
